Celé Česko čte dětem® (Every Czech Reads to Kids) organised the first year of a platform allowing children and youth to get creative. The Atelier of Creative Writing is designed for lower secondary school pupils. The Atelier comprises a two-day workshop led by a renowned children’s and youth’s book writer, the so-called ‘ambassador of the project’.
The first year of this event was held in the Science and Technology Centre in Ostrava. It was prepared by the significant Czech book writer, Alena Ježková, who has many years of experience in teaching creative writing.
Alena Ježková formed the content of the workshop, which was divided into several blocks. A number of preparatory exercises aimed at finding own creative path were prepared for the pupils. At the same time, the writer shared her experiences with the workshop participants, conducted dialogues and provided feedback to all those interested.
The Atelier of Creative Writing targeted children and youth aged 13 to 16, who had already shown extraordinary talent in writing.
