The project, entitled Emoce bez hranic (‘Emotions without Borders’) (Reg. No. CZ.11.4.120/0.0/0.0/16_010/0001287) is implemented from the European Regional Development Fund through the Micro-projects Fund of the Euro-region Silesia (Těšínské Slezsko – Śląsk Cieszyński) as part of the INTERREG V-A Programme Czech Republic – Poland 2014 – 2020.
The Czech-Polish project is focused mainly on youth, who are facing many problems nowadays, such as bullying, Internet addiction, prejudice, etc. The aim of the project is to point out that the problems of today’s children are very similar in both countries and that sharing and discussing such problems will help youth better deal with these issues in the future. The outputs of the project include a storybook and a series of bibliotherapy workshops for children and youth (bibliotherapy = the use of books as therapy in the treatment of mental or psychological disorders). The project will contribute to the elimination of cultural and linguistic barriers and to the interconnection of Czech and Polish youth.
