Journey of Stories

Since 1 November 2016, Every Czech Reads to Kids has been involved as a partner in the project, entitled ‘Journey of Stories’, which is co-funded by the EU under the Operational Programme Research, Development and Education. The aim of the project is to support reading literacy of pupils from a socio-economically disadvantaged and culturally diverse environment, whilst using methods and ways that respect their special educational needs. The extracurricular work with Romany pupils from 10 schools and educational institutions in 7 regions of the Czech Republic includes reading selected belles-lettres to pupils, as well as an attractive accompanying programme. This programme not only introduces the children to interesting literary stories, but also motivates them and strives to capture and maintain the children’s interest. The project will last until 31 October 2019. The project is implemented by Labyrint Brno, z.s.
